Let’s Talk About #BLM in Bangla

In the past few months, we engaged in many conversations about #BlackLivesMatter in our Bangladeshi communities. While this was a good start, a language barrier caused many gaps in the understanding of the movement. We hope this video clarifies certain concepts to help the learning process, so we can be better allies. Our understanding of the world is limited to our knowledge of language. If we don’t have the words to describe marginalized experiences, then we cannot conceptualize any matter or movement.
This video is not a comprehensive summary, description, or even definition of the #BlackLivesMatter movement. But for our Bangla speakers out there, we hope this video provides context and supports conversations in your communities to drive change.
